Cancellation Policy

At Natalie Mendelssohn Dressage, we understand that circumstances can change, necessitating the need to cancel or reschedule appointments. We have established the following cancellation policy:

  1. Notice Period: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. This allows us to offer the slot to other clients who may be waiting.

  2. Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will still require full payment.

  3. Weather: Riding is an outdoor sport and lessons will continue in all weathers. Any extreme or dangerous conditions such as very high wind, very heavy rain, ice or extreme heat will be discussed the day before and on the day. Natalie will be in contact if the weather looks like it may affect the lesson, if the decision is made that the weather is too bad to continue then no cancellation fee will be charged.

  4. No-Show Policy: Clients who do not attend their scheduled lesson time without prior notification will be charged the full session fee.

  5. Exceptions: We recognise that unforeseen events can occur especially with horses. For emergencies or extenuating circumstances, please contact Natalie as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

  6. Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule please give as much notice as possible!

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth schedule for all clients.

Horse Welfare & Fitness to Work

The welfare of the horse is always the highest priority.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their horse is fit, sound, and in well fitted tack and equipment to work prior to any lesson, training session, or polework day. If a horse is showing signs of lameness, discomfort, illness, or behavioural changes that may indicate pain, the session must be postponed and appropriate veterinary or professional advice sought.

Natalie reserves the right to refuse to teach, stop, or modify any session at any time if there are concerns regarding the horse’s welfare, soundness, or suitability to continue. In such cases, the session may be ended or adapted accordingly.

If a session is cancelled or stopped due to welfare concerns identified on arrival or during the session, the full fee for the lesson still applies.

Clients are encouraged to communicate any concerns regarding their horse in advance so that sessions can be adapted or rescheduled where appropriate
